Overview
GNS provides a full range of application hosting and co-lo services for a wide variety of clients. We handle everything from hosting websites on GNS owned hardware, to maintaining large racks of servers that are owned and administered directly by our clients.
GNS has leased a significant amount of space in several excellent commercial data centers around the United States and in Canada. We have excellent partner relationships with many major data center providers.

Facilities
As the price of networking bandwidth has dropped, it now makes good sense to locate mission critical servers in a more remote data center where they will be safe from city wide "events" and incur less cost. With our partnerships we have located equipment in New York/New Jersey, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago, Phoenix, Montreal, and overseas in the United Kingdom.
Our facilities all feature 24x7 manned security services, battery and diesel based backup power, and multiple carrier high speed Internet access (typically OC12 and above). This type of secure stable environment can not be achieved in a typical commercial office space.
All centers are staffed with experienced personnel and our staff work with them regularly to ensure things are running at their best.

Equipment
GNS is a recognized expert on UNIX systems such as Solaris and Linux, so it's not surprising that we also own and use plenty of these servers ourselves. Most of our website hosting is done on Linux SMP Dell Servers but we also have a number of Windows 2003 Web servers for ASP and Sharepoint. We fully support and maintain a large number of Windows servers for our own use, and for our clients.
We also host applications on customer supplied hardware. We supply, configure, and maintain all the network equipment to ensure performance and security are maintained at the highest level. All our servers are connected by Gigabit connections and our switches feature Link Aggregated Trunking for even faster performance.

Server Management
Most of our clients require some level of management on the servers we host. We provide comprehensive monitoring of all hardware, software, and connectivity on equipment and applications we host and usually handle the system administration as well. See our
