We are looking for a Windows Systems & Operations Engineer to assist in the deployment and support of Windows Server, Microsoft 365 environments & client workstations. This person will work a shift from 8AM until 4PM. Work within a small but very technical team delivering high quality support to our valued clients. Monitoring servers, services, and client issues/requests.
• Day-to-day system, application & workstation support. This includes office visits to our London-based clients when required.
• Ensure that tasks (backups, OS & application patching) and client requests are dealt with in an organized & timely fashion
• Document & report status; escalate urgent problems and work with other team members to resolve.
• Build, upgrade & maintain systems on multiple platforms.
• Troubleshoot, resolve & document solutions related to systems, applications and DR/backup jobs.
• Successfully applicant will monitor and help support our file processing operation after full training.
Requirements:
• 1 - 3 years experience supporting Windows Server & Windows workstations in an Enterprise environment.
• A solid understanding of VMware, Windows Active Directory & networking protocols.
• Good problem-solving ability and interest in learning.
• Responsible, proactive, and good interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus Points
• Experience with SQL Server, Proofpoint, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Veeam & Citrix XenApp platforms.
• Any experience with scripting languages, preferably Windows Powershell.
• Any UNIX experience.
• Any relevant certifications
