We are looking for a Systems Administrator / DBA who will work in our small but very technically savvy team providing great support to our clients and for our own databases. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, possessing sound judgment, strong problem solving skills and able to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences.
This position can be 100% remote. We prefer a US west coast candidate but are open to other locations within the Continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day server support for our clients; systems (support tickets and monitoring) and for our own internal databases.
- Write, maintain and improve automation scripts in BASH, Python or RMAN for backups.
- Work with clients to troubleshoot technical problems and resolve issues.
- MySQL, Postgres, Oracle an SQL Server Backups and monitoring/maintenance.
Requirements:
- Good problem-solving ability and interested in learning.
- 3+ years experience with UNIX and Windows servers, in a system administration capacity.
- Solid experience (and very interested in) SQL-based database technology; Oracle, Postgres and MySQL.
- Degree in Computer Science or science-related field.
- Excellent communication skills.
Extra consideration will be given to candidates with the following:
- RHEL Certification
- AWS and/or Azure Certifications
- Experience with Windows Servers and SQL Server.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 USD
